the thunder, perfect mindfuck.

March 24, 2008

Dear neighbour, you listening to music in the morning is fine with me ( I do the same), but WHY, OH WHY?, SMOKE ON THE FUCKIN WATER?? I hate that song. It’s on the top of my “5 songs I would erase from the human mind for its own good” list (it includes at least three Queen songs as well).

Okay, I was intended to write more but forgot everything. See ya.

Ooh, ooh, listen to Aarni! Here’s their myspace. And here is, you know….. umm, you know what. Progressive funeral doom from Finland.

Short review of everything.

Saint Petersburg was fun.

The Zotra EP was downloaded 50 times since October 24th. Which means it rocks. Unlike In Rainbows, the new Radiohead recird. Oh, and I remained true to my motto: “don’t increase Thom Yorke’s download count, get In Rainbows from an unauthorised source!”. God bless thou, russian file-sharers. The drums and beats are quite good sometimes, but all the rest is boring and uninteresting.
I’ll give them a second chance. But I’d rather listen other stuff.

For example, Skæra’s spoken word/ambient album, A Cloak and a Veil. Get it here.

And I’m tired. (:

Electric Demons in Luv

Just a quick revision of the mighty webcomic-o-sphera. The best thing for exam periods!

Girls with Slingshots – one of the best webcomics out there. Two girls, a bar and a talking Irish cactus. Yeah. The author is currently on a break and collecting donations to make the strip appear more often, but the archive is decent and FUN!

Questionable Content – indie rock and robots and a big enough archive to keep you entertained for a few weeks.

Butternutsquash – Another funny webcomic with very nice art.

Orneryboy – Zombies and industrial-cyber-goth depression! Rare updates):

Have fun!

Do you know what would be fun? Setting up a netlabel. Seriously.
Yeah.

I’m just wasting my time. Anyway, check out this site, it’s a list of netlabels, free releases, mostly random electronic stuff. If you are stubborn, you might find a few real gems that fit your taste.

Also, check out archive.org for tons and tons and megatons of stuff.

All work and Coldplay makes Jack a dull boy.

The Soulsword is a fictional mystical item in the Marvel Comics universe. It once belonged to Illyana Rasputin, but was passed to Kitty Pryde, then taken from her by Doctor Doom, and then taken from him by Darkoth the Death Demon. It now rests with Amanda Sefton.

Scandinavian sagas, anyone?
