Corroded hookworm

Everyone can do the black metal so why can’t I? Yeah!! Freedom for the masses. If you are not 100% satisfied with the music others created, make your own!!
Here’s my take on raw urban pagan black metal.

I’ve got a new favourite Flaming Lips song: Slow Nerve Action (youtube, great live performance from ‘99). Those drums, wow!! Heavy, heavy, heavy! I feel an urge to sample that drum-pattern and make an infinite loop out of it. Maybe I’ll do it.

And I can play this song on the guitar, yey! It’s not too complicated yet awesome.

Us, vegetables.

Today I overheard the best evvah convo on the street. Two guys:

“So, what caliber is that?”
“.38″
“Not bad, not bad, just what I need. How much?”
“12.000″

Hooray for creepy conversations!!
It’s about time to create a best albuns of the year list. I’ve already compiled one for radaladar, but I’m not satisfied with it. I just didn’t have enough time.

Cities on flame with rock & roll

December 16, 2007

Yesterday garage/surf/rockabilly concert was fun!! Three bands outa four were actually very good! The first one was an instrumental 60’s psychedelic revival act, you know, hippiness, mid-eastern vibe, groovy as fuck, all that jazz (all that psych). The second band played some good ol’ rockabilly, dancey-dancey. The third played almost the same, only dirtier and with a more punkish edge. The fourth act sucked, they played rock standards with a guy shouting over them… Never, NEVER, NEVER play Smoke on the Water, okay? It’s just……. Grhhhh… It’s Smoke on the Water, damnit.

There were some drunk people fighting (they were too drunk to have a normal fight,. so they just messed around then kissed and confessed being in love with each other). Whatever. Even their fighting (oh, which took place on our legs) couldn’t ruin the thing!

Great gig. Rockabilly is concert music, real concert music. I mean, I don’t really listen to ‘billy at home, it just needs the atmosphere of a crowded, smoke-filled basement.

Oh, and in my dream I bought an electric guitar. First I was considering a blue Fender, but then settled for a green something (it looked cool). Also, there was a shop assistant guy who helped me.
I want an electric guitar (:

After the…

Tracklist arranged. FTP fired up. The first Eat Rust full-length – After the Safeword – is currently being uploaded to archive.org. It’ll be soon avaible at this page. Probably it’s there by now. 11 songs. 48:37. Download it when it’s up. Comment on it, either here, or there, as you wish. And listen to it. It’s a very diverse record. Not an easy one. Sometimes I got carried away with a certain guitar melody I liked… You’ll notice when that happens, I assure you.
It was influenced by nearly everything I had around me. There’s blues. There’s noise. There’s pop. There are references. There are references which weren’t intended to be references. There’s noise-blues. There’s singing.

It’s a strange album. Oh. Yeah. Remember Mark Twain’s words (see the quote a few posts earlier).

But Eat Rust isn’t over with this album!! The noise and annoying sounds keep on puring and flowing!

So, hereby I announce TWO things. Read the rest of this entry »

Ooookay, you get a song as well. It’s Marc Ribot’s rendition of the Beatles classic, While My Guitar Gently Sweeps. The best Beatles cover, ever.

Go-Go-Gadget Guitar!

Flying VA little picture for my dearest sister: the mighty Flying V!! She expressed certain feelings towards this cheesy instrument and succeeded holding one on a music expo. Way to go sista, Fuckela is waiting for you!

Btw, holding an electric guitar in your hand is good. Gives you the illusion of power – fuck, not the illusion, it gives you power. Mgregrhhh. Your spine straightens out, you become taller, well-built, every negative feature you might have disappear, because they are overshaded by this fantastic object.

Yeah. I wanna be a rock-star.

Well, not really. But still… A dream, yeah.
