A pretty good song by The Nazis from Mars, Night of the Phantom:
Their other songs are maybe a bit too lo-fi and boring…
Also, I’m testing this built-in streaming player of wordpress. Seems to work.
So, we decided to rip off Scooby Doo and make a webcomic out of it. But here comes the twist: all characters have been replaced with goths!!
(typical situation of too much free time)
Note the lame names!
According to the story, “Nomia” is an emo-chick who wants to tag along with the cool goths. And she has a crush on “Dread”, who is prince charming on a demonic black stallion (yeah, feel the inner and outer darkness). “Hellhound” is “Roger’s” faithful dog. “Roger” and “Delma” don’t have fancy gothic nicknames.
And something you must know:
a list of their preferred bands!
“Delma”: Sisters of Mercy, Nick Cave, Björk, Sopor Aeternus & the Ensemble of Shadows
“Roger” and “Hellhound” (they are always together and share the same taste): Venom, Burzum, Children of Bodom, Craddle of Filth
“Dread”: Nick Cave, London After Midnight
“Nomia”: dunno yet, will have to do some research…

Mark, I love you.

Time for another Top 5 list!
Top 5 simple pleasures!
This is a list for all those simply yet awesome songs! Avant-garde guitar solos and synths and stuff are good, but sometimes you need simplicity. My picks are….
1. The Brian Jonestown Massacre – Free and Easy Take 2
Three chords and a harmonica = cool song. It’s simple as that.
2. Art Brut – Emily Kane
Even less chords and stupidly cute lyrics. A fitting video.
3. The White Stripes – Fell in Love With a Girl
Talking about videos, this song has a cool one. Don’t even bother counting the chords used in the song, who cares?? It’s greaaaaaat! Tararararara-tararararara-tarararara-tarararara!
4. The Bastard Fairies – Whatever
Here’s the video, watch it, ’cause it’s hilarous. The Bastard Fairies are funny. And I love the way the singer says “’cause I know war is bad, but love is really… good”.
5. The Zutons – Don’t Ever Think (Too Much)
Duhh, video. Chanting and saxophone? Not thinking too much? Give it to me.
Feel free to post your own list!
Just a quick revision of the mighty webcomic-o-sphera. The best thing for exam periods!
Girls with Slingshots – one of the best webcomics out there. Two girls, a bar and a talking Irish cactus. Yeah. The author is currently on a break and collecting donations to make the strip appear more often, but the archive is decent and FUN!
Questionable Content – indie rock and robots and a big enough archive to keep you entertained for a few weeks.
Butternutsquash – Another funny webcomic with very nice art.
Orneryboy – Zombies and industrial-cyber-goth depression! Rare updates):
Have fun!
Mehh, i got stuck in the elevator today. (: Luckily enough, the elevator-repairing-guy came in twenty minutes.
*crowd cheers*
Yeah, that was my great adventure today.
I love Era Vulgaris’ lyrics, they are very Josh Homme. ‘The jury is in, verdict: Retarded’ (this one being from Turnin’ on the Screw)
