Did you see the words

March 29, 2007

I haven’t blogged for 12 days total. The gods punished me for it (also, they made love and listened to Death From Above): I’ve got Joy Division’s Love Will Tear Us Apart stuck in my head.

Another punishment: I wanted to watch a video on youtube (yeah, 7:53 in the morning, before school. YES.)  and it’s undergoing scheduled maintenance. Btw it’s the CSS song Let’s Make Love and Listen to Death From Above video I’m craving.
Check out the song on their myspace.

I’m still alive, sorry for my absence.

Duhh, not like anyone reads my blög.
But you can check out radalar’s blog, right here.

Honestly, I’m not in a blogging mood nowadays.

Everbody should check out this video. It kicks ass.
Can’t. Fuckin. Wait. For. Era. Vulgaris. To. Come. Out!

And here’s the whole song, as performed live by the 5:15ers (=Homme & Goss)

Judging by the sound, distortion, riffage, kickassness and the fact that NIN’s Trent Reznor will appear on the record, QOTSA will go a bit industrial rock. “Dark, hard, and electrical… like a construction worker.” Remember these words.

Era Vulgaris. Due to be out in June. Remeber this date.

And I must be on one of these three festivals ( 1 2 3 ). Of course, they are all in June, when I have exams and stuff. Grrrreat. And they cost a fortune…

New Stooges record coming soon, Iggy Pop interviewed on guardian:

The one non-Stooge to appear on The Weirdness is another Michiganer, Brendan Benson. “I wanted a sweet, clean, effortless, American voice on the particular chorus he sang with me,” Pop explains. “It was a commentary on the US and it was from a certain point of view. And Brendan not only had the voice but he has a real similar background to the three of us.”

Yeeeey!!

We’ll take the time to turn it out!

Google Ads, yeah, gotta love them. This time it was for Death From above 1979.

You hate your boss but in your dreams you can blow his head off

March 1, 2007

That’s probably my longest title so far.

So, I was thinking about putting together a dream supergroup of all my favourite musicians, but I encountered some problems.

First, what music would they play? Yeah, probably some kind of rock… That’s not the main problem. You see, if you get five/six very talented and creative musicians together, they’ll just argue or something. Two can agree on something (see: The Raconteurs), but more than that, it’s just impossible.
Also, supergroups never really get into experimentating. They take parts of their original band(s) and put it together.

So, my dream supergroup would try to do something different.

But who’d be in it? Let’s see… Read the rest of this entry »
